Along miles of road, fields are hemmed with fences putting a boundary between me and icons of all that is quiet, worn, and beautiful. Golden wheat guarding a weathered silo fitted to a humming farm. Cows meandering toward new grass, keeping an eye on tipping. Sun setting on a fulfilling day's work, hay stretching their shadows to rest.
