HIDDEN PLACE

Stealing off to a place where nothing but sunlight hits my face. I’m sure someone is looking and calling my name, but the only sound here that fills these ears are the branches rubbing each other the wrong way. I sway on a limb as the breeze gently removes the day’s debris off these frazzled wings. I’m lost in the fray of demands, but the only business stealing my attention in this moment are the million interpretations of green that surround me, flipping like glitter in the wind, parading flashes of the sun.
