Advent in Art and Verse
This book presents all 27 works from my mixed media Advent series—each one representing a key moment in the lineage of Christ, as recorded in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. Through a blend of visual art and reflective prose, you’re invited to journey through Advent and rediscover the wonder of Jesus’ coming.
Every full-color piece is paired with Scripture that tells the story as it was written, along with original poetry that draws out the heart of each day’s focus, connecting it to the broader narrative of redemption.
Beginning after Thanksgiving on November 29 and continuing through Christmas Day, this 27-day devotional is designed to help you pause and reflect during the holiday season. As you move through each day, you’ll be drawn into the richness of God’s eternal plan, the Spirit’s confirming work through generations, and the profound hope found in the arrival of Immanuel—God with us.
The Branch of a Christmas Tree
A Christmas tree was planted in the very beginning.
Often passed over in the opening chapters of Matthew and Luke, the genealogies of Jesus quietly tell a sweeping, sacred story—one of divine purpose unfolding across generations. This Advent devotional invites you to trace that royal lineage, from Genesis to the Gospels, and behold the beauty of the Branch that culminates in the birth of our King.
Over twenty-seven days, you’ll journey through the lives and seasons that shaped Christ’s ancestry. Each day highlights a person or moment in His line, ending with a meaningful activity designed to deepen your reflection and engagement.
Whether used for personal devotion, family worship, or gathered Advent reflections in church or community, this four-week guide helps prepare your heart to celebrate the arrival of Immanuel—God with us.

From time to time I’ve had the joy of working with other authors to design their books and workbooks, both cover and interior. These are such fun projects. I appreciate the variety of genre and style I’ve had to opportunity to interpret visually through art and design.
