HIGH DESERT TIDE

When the sun pulls the silver leather-leaf sage and deep indigo blooms higher than the rocks, when the orange-gold flora attempts to jump the crests and swim with the foam to the base of rock dunes jetting from sandy desert shores, I will cut a slice and take it with me.
