BRIDAL VEIL
The hardy lines of desert buckwheat form a curtain that waves with the wind. A bridal veil adorned with lacy white flowers, transparent enough to tease with glimpses of a beautiful land. You’re holding my hand. Wooed into the wilderness, I am... breathless. I’ve been restless. But you tenderly whisper, “The green, silver and gold, wine and flax are plenty. Say yes.” All this for the taking, the sun awaking my longing for lines that go on forever.
Inspired by Hosea 2:13-22 and Psalm 45:1-2.
