"Going, Going, Gone"
16x20 mixed media - $380.00 This mixed media piece came from the humorous reality of the slow death of my aloe plant. Truly, one should never assure me, “This plant is hearty. There’s nothing you can do to kill it.” Somehow, I find a way. I desired to grow it for its medicinal qualities, alas it gave up. Aloe! Heal themself! It’s a wonder and a tragedy. The blue greens and rust background are full of texture, words, and found objects, many of them sentiments of my struggle with the plant’s survival. I shouldn’t laugh at death, but this I do.
